Cookbooks plus

This morning I am sending a collection of photos from the last few days that I have missed out on sending. Opening is Dad's first visit to Antigua for coffee and breakfast burrito. We did a quick walking tour of the So CIty shops first just to show him any new places.
Our cookbook sorting is almost done, one more large messy pile to go through, not really sure what comes next but she has had fun looking through them.
A few photos of the sewing room just before Dad arrived.
Another great photo from bar tending days, amazing how they can recall the events  and people in the photos.
There is a picture of the contents of a small bag, this is Nonis important morning ritual items bag that she put together the other day, her prayer book and holy cards she reads each day, a couple of mints, medication and a few other odds and ends.
Lastly Gramps belt. The other day gramps told Non he needed a few more holes in his built because his pants are falling down, even the newest slimline 34s. He has gained almost 7 pounds since coming home from hospital but he had dropped so much weight so his belt was not doing much with the current number of holes.
This was a special task that needed special equipment and workspace. I was sent to find the sledgehammer, the biggest nail I could find in the downstairs drawers and a clear space on the workbench down there to drive the nail through the belt. I could not find any nails but I did find an awl which worked very well. Noni was delighted with this find and Gramps was happy with the holes.
Gramps has given Mike some instructions regarding tools in the basement. He wants mike to call George, their favourite handyman guy, and invite George to take anything he wants down there, all except the two sledgehammers, ( I am guessing the one I just used is one) they are good sledgehammers and should go to Mikes house.

  1. If Noni wants to hand over any of the books with her handwritten recipes I am in. Also I noticed there are a number of little metal hem measuring rulers in one of your older photos from the early blog. I would love the black and silver one like yours.
