When I returned they were still talking and Noni seemed fine. She went in to get changed and came out looking a million dollars.
Gramps is all fired up to go through his things, papers first to see what he needs to keep. He also wants to go out on Friday to see the place. He got a call from Sam Bonano and said to him, Sam I thought I was coming home from the hospital to die, now I'm feeling better, stronger every day, ready to do things again. Sam was calling to see if by chance either of them were well enough to go to the Enchilada night as he was going to save them seats at the table. That was a no.
I do think Noni is more than ready to move on from most of her furniture, her kitchen, and the supplies and traces of the many projects she has worked on over the years. Through the day I got to hear conversations Noni had with her friend Joanne from sewing and with Robbie Huerta, one of Nonis very good friends, they both stopped by. She was talking openly to them about the move and what was happening. She even opened the conversation during dinner about how much she would take, she thought not so much. "I do not want to have a lot of stuff around me up there, and we can always come back and get things if we find we need them."
During dinner gramps was full of all the things he wanted to do tomorrow, hair cut, paperwork sorting, bills and more. There are lots of calls to make to move out of Hospice and transition to a different service that is about help him get stronger, finding out how to be more mobile with the oxygen, etc.
Just before bedtime they had a little time on the little Den lounge holding hands and napping. nO TV, dad said it is all bad news, not worth watching.
Linda and I made a quick run to Tanforan in the afternoon with Santino to pick up their favourite take away, Chicken Teriaki from the Japanese place there. There is one picture of a boys and girls First Communion outfit that I thought was worth sharing. Other photos are from my nightly excavations in Nonis sewing room. Taking lots of photos as I work. I am thoroughly enjoying it, looking forward to my nightly sessions.
